Cincinnati Style Chili Recipe


Serves 6-8 

  • 1.5 lb ground beef

  • 2 tbsp garlic, minced

  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped

  • 2 cups beef/chicken stock

  • 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce

  • 3 tbsp chili powder

  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese or grated parmesan cheese, to garnish 


  • In a large, wide pot, brown the beef. About halfway through, stir in the onion and garlic. Once the beef is browned, add the rest of the ingredients except for the cheese. Simmer, uncovered, for 2-3 hours until thickened to your desired consistency. Garnish with cheese and serve as is or over zucchini noodles.
